Off The Beaten Path to Guts River

Guts River is located in the parish of Manchester close to the border of Manchester and Clarendon and its a hidden gem that used to be one of the South Coasts most popular chill out spots until the mid 90's. Guts River is a coastal property that gives the visitor access to both river and sea.

Guts River consists of two adjoining properties separated by the sea; one is privately owned and the other is owned by the government. The road to Guts River is a scenic albeit a lonely one, there are no gas stations, shops, restaurants, no electricity, limited cell signals and minimal signs of civilization as you travel through the Canoe Valley. Its advised to travel in groups and to avoid vehicle troubles as best as possible.

Guts River is fed by an underground spring and runs approximately 200 meters to meet the sea. The magnificence of this coastal property is a sight to behold. Miles of beach untouched by visitors, wild and beautiful in her untamed glory.

For the past few years I have been visiting the privately owned property at Guts River, where some activities that take place there are cook outs, diving, swimming and camping. Please note that there are no life guards and one swims at their own risk, as the sea is rough and the diving hole is approximately 30 feet deep.

All in all Guts River is a hidden gem that offers one the perfect way to commune with Mother Nature. Have fun!
