Off The Beaten Path To Noisy River

OMG!!! Noisy River!!! Who knew??? Myself, like many Jamaicans were taught that there were no rivers in Manchester. Wrong! Manchester, infact, has quite a few rivers and today the spotlight is on one of those rivers. The infamous and beautiful Noisy River in all her glory.

Noisy River also known as the One Eye River is an off the beaten path  hangout spot for locals in the Oxford and nearby communities. Persons from far and near have made Noisy River the place to be.  The river has a historical bridge that was built in 1839. A river with a rich history. One whimsical fact of Noisy River to note is that once the river is at decent height or more it doesn't matter how loud the music is or how much noise is being made, once you are in the river, you will only hear the "ROAR" of the river.

There are several sections for swimming and to have a therapeutic massage in Mother Nature's whirlpools. The river has several tiers that create a waterfall effect. Several stage shows are held yearly and most Sundays one may find food and beverage being sold.

You will notice that Noisy River is always a favourite of mine. This post will show the river at different times in all her glory.

Recently, the Member of Parliament for the area Mikael Phillips, developed a recreational area that consists of restrooms, showers and a picnic area. Noisy River is the place to be. Noisy River tun up ((((LOUD)))).
